SUMMARY:

Since the beginning of society, the environment has been the place in which man and nature coexist. In it, man obtains the raw materials necessary for his survival, whether related to his food or the energy necessary to turn the gears that move this entire system called society. It is up to man to seek a harmonious relationship with the environment, especially in his way of living. How to develop competitive small sustainable buildings? The objective of the work was to develop a study through a bibliographical review on the construction of sustainable buildings where it was possible to compare the competitiveness of sustainable and non-sustainable buildings built by a micro-entrepreneur. To achieve this, it was necessary to study the panorama of sustainable buildings made by smaller entrepreneurs, analyze the advantages and disadvantages linked to sustainable constructions and verify the social, environmental and economic costs of small sustainable constructions. Civil construction ends up becoming the main villain related to environmental degradation, since it is from the environment that all the necessary raw materials come from. to that sector. One of the possible solutions to alleviate such problems is sustainable construction.
