RESUMO:

Quilombola communities are groups that have an extensive cultural identity, being formed through a historical process that began in the early days of slavery, in Brazilian territory. Such communities are symbols of resistance to different means of domination. In this way, quilombos sustain an important interconnection with their socio-historical evolution and, consequently, an important conglomerate of customs of a culture that must be preserved and apprehended through their ancestors. The principles of Bem Viver are closely linked to quilombola communities, since they are known to be linked to the construction of relations of production, exchange and cooperation that provide a sustained sufficiency in solidarity. The center of opinions is the human being living in community and in harmony with nature. It is a matter of opposing the exploitation of labor and the defense of life against anthropocentric schemes of productive organization, which cause the destruction of the planet. In this context, the present study starts from the following question-problem: How do the existing practices in the Quilombola Community of Sítio Arruda distance themselves from or approach the principles of Bem Viver? Having as general objective: To analyze the relations established between quilombola community practices at Sítio Arruda in Araripe - CE and what is advocated as principles of Well Living. The research will be carried out through an ethnographic method with an approach based on material culture and based on the premise that, in the construction of culture, the epistemology of ancestry is the main element. Assuming, therefore, that these communities bring a technological, social, cultural, historical legacy.
