Qualification Summary: Qualification Summary: Sustainability presents itself to humanity as a challenge, an essential factor for the maintenance of life, through actions planned and carried out under the socio-environmental and economic aegis, including through sustainable projects that value in their scope and development by regulated use of natural resources, such as water. The São Francisco River Integration Project (PISF) popularly known as Transposition, for example, has interfered in different aspects in the territories where it is being executed. It is a governmental water project that aims to guarantee water for human, industrial, agricultural and animal consumption in four states in the Brazilian semiarid region: Ceará, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte. The objective of this research is to analyze the sustainability of PISF in the municipality of Penaforte, based on qualitative indicators. The methodological procedure adopted will be the case study. This study is expected to identify the degree of sustainability of the PISF, based on the use of specific indicators in the environmental, economic and social dimensions.
