RESUMO:

Aiming at the importance of dairy farming, especially in the Brazilian Northeast, the present study proposes to generate a panorama of cattle raising in the state of Ceará regarding the sustainability involved in this activity. This diagnosis will be achieved through the construction of maps and indicators related to the environmental, socioeconomic and institutional dimensions. The environmental capacity will be determined by the climate, relief, type of vegetation, pasture area, water availability, level of degradation, among others. Given the inherent economic and social dimensions, these will be analyzed in a single group (Socioeconomic) from data that indicate the capacity to generate income for the municipalities and producers and the maintenance of the man in the field. In turn, the institutional vision will be evaluated based on the actions carried out by the state in order to foster activity, such as investments in Pronaf and the availability of free Technical Assistance. For this, GIS resources and mathematical models capable of generating maps that demonstrate these factors, as well as statistics, graphs and the verbal description of this mapping will be used. Spatialisation will allow a more dynamic and clear analysis of the nuances present between each region. The dissertation will be subdivided into three chapters: 1. The first one will be dedicated to the discussion of the aspects of sustainability within the bovinoocultura, as well as its importance. 2. The second chapter will demonstrate the techniques, parameters and tools used to generate the results. 3. And, finally, the final result will be demonstrated through maps, graphs, and other resources necessary for the development of your discussion.
