The environmental sustainability of the Horto neighborhood, Juazeiro do Norte (RMCariri/CE): territorial formation, diagnosis and protected areas.
Protected Areas. Sustainability. Environment. Urban. Sustainable Regional Development.
Located in the city of Juazeiro do Norte, in the interior of Cerará, the Horto neighborhood is in a prominent position in the history and current affairs of the aforementioned municipality. This does not exclude the complex reality of the place, whether from an environmental or social perspective, as it is in peripheral locations of the urban environment. That said, this research is justified by the fact that the Horto neighborhood is the scene of a series of environmental problems little explored by the scientific literature, especially when worked from the perspective of sustainable regional development. The general objective of this dissertation is to analyze the environmental sustainability of the neighborhood of Horto, Juazeiro do Norte (RMCariri/CE) considering the reconstitution of the territorial formation, its environmental diagnosis and its environmental sustainability through its protected areas. A qualitative approach will be adopted with the use of bibliographic and documentary research.
