Degradation of Aquatic Environments: Impacts of erosion on water quality
Soil quality, erosion, water quality
This work aims to evaluate the influence of soil degradability on the water quality of Lagoa dos Macacos, located in the Parque Natural Municipal das Timbaúbas in Juazeiro do Norte-Ce. The collections were carried out from November 2021 to March 2022, for the physical-chemical analysis of water and soil, and on November 24, 2021, the collection of undisturbed soil for the performance of physical and mineralogical tests of the soil . The physical-chemical analyzes were carried out in the Sanitation laboratory and the soil tests in the Soil Mechanics laboratory, both at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA). The physical-chemical parameters used for the evaluation of water quality were: pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand, total solids, suspended solids, dissolved solids and sedimentable solids. For soil quality assessment: pH, electrical conductivity, total organic carbon, labile carbon and soluble carbon. Finally, to evaluate soil erodibility, the following tests were carried out: granulometry, liquidity limit, plasticity limit, real grain density, rapid dispersion, disaggregation test, aggregate stability and laboratory cone test.
