INFLUENCE OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS IN THE MEDIUM-SIZED FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN JUAZEIRO DO NORTE IN THE 2ND DECADE OF THE 21ST CENTURY

The objective of the research is to characterize the production system present in the footwear industry medium-sized enterprises and their contributions to sustainable regional development, given their representativeness for the economy of Juazeiro do Norte. The research aims to identify and to highlight how the organizational models of production and the configuration of the for the management of the resources necessary for production, and the strategies and practices operational processes for structuring processes, generate efficient and effective results determinants in the economic, social and environmental dimensions. The method to be used is the case study and as a methodological procedure the bibliographic survey and documentary, to justify the thematic referring to the production systems and the dimensions of sustainable development, as well as collecting information through the semi-structured interviews and questionnaires with employees, supervisors and managers, which make it possible to characterize operational practices and respond “How” promote sustainable development. I emphasize the importance of research for characterization of production practices and significant influence on performance performance and business results impacting development in dimensions sustainable.
