Beyond the walls: path and trajectory of the youth in the system socio-educational of Ceará

The present research reports on the socio-educational centers of Ceará, more precisely the Aldaci Barbosa Mota Educational Center, responsible for female adolescents who are institutionalized in unit socioeducative, fulfilling measure of hospitalization for the practice of qualified act as an infraction. The study questions the system of care education, as well as the public policies of children and adolescents of the state of Ceará. Therefore, the project has the following general objective: understanding how the application of public policies and the socio-educational service of the state of Ceará interfere with the experience life history of young people who comply with socio-educational measures. Aiming the general objective, the project has the following specific objectives: discuss the history of child and adolescent care in Brazil and Ceará to identify the changes and permanencies characteristic of the current socio-educational system; problem of the concept of punishment adopted by the State and the system of socio-educational assistance in Ceará-SEAS, especially in the Aldaci Barbosa Mota Educational Center, and to relate from the experiences of young people in conflict with the law, who are Aldaci Barbosa Mota, the history of life and the perception of a young person from Cariri who fulfills socio-educational measure of deprivation of liberty, its meaning of the experience of deprivation of liberty. To development of the study, we used as methodology the research qualitative. Data collection was performed through documentary analysis, field diary, as well as the oral history and memory of a young woman socio-educational measure and of a server of the state of Ceará that, for law, must inspect the centers, accompanying the services and infrastructure that the state has in place for young people who comply with socio-educational measures. In the paper, we use the following references: Geertz (2008), Sachs (2010), (2008), Seiffert (2009), Chacon (2007), Freitas (2012), Bauman (1999), besides laws and jurisprudence. We hope that this research will contribute to the broadening of the dialogue concerning socio-educational centers and serving as reference to future academic studies on the subject
