USE OF SEWAGE SLUDGE AS A POTENTIAL FERTILIZER IN THE CULTIVATION OFVIGNA UNGUICULATA (L.) (WALP.)
Sewage sludge; Agriculture; Fertilizer.
Sewage sludge has great potential as a soil conditioner and source of
organic (MELO et al., 2018). Its use in agriculture is very promising, since
that several countries have carried out and still carry out studies on the subject, while
currently it has become one of the alternatives given to the sludge that is most replicated in the world,
due to its nutritional characteristics. In Brazil there is legislation that regulates
this practice, that is, No. 498/2020 of the National Council for the Environment (CONAMA),
which defines criteria and procedures for the production and application of biosolids in soils.
In view of this, the present project aims to carry out a characterization regarding the parameters
physical-chemical and microbiological aspects of soil and sewage sludge samples from a station
treatment located in Vila Três Marias in the city of Juazeiro do Norte-CE, managed by
Water and Sewage Company of the State of Ceará (CAGECE), subsequent use will be made
practical use of biosolids in agricultural culture in a controlled manner in the laboratory.
