This research aims to analyze the information organization practices adopted in the archives of television broadcasters in Juazeiro do Norte: Verdes Mares Cariri, Verde Vale, and Padre Cícero, with the purpose of developing a model for organizing audiovisual documents. Specifically, it intends to: a) investigate the audiovisual document management activities carried out at the aforementioned broadcasters; b) observe the practices of storing reports, focusing on the processes of indexing and transcribing these media; c) propose a guide for organizing, managing, retrieving, and disseminating audiovisual documents for the broadcasters analyzed in this research. Methodologically, this study is empirical, with a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach. The universe of this research involves the audiovisual documentation centers of three television stations in Juazeiro do Norte – CE: TV Verdes Mares Cariri, TV Verde Vale, and TV Padre Cícero. The data collection process was based on a semi-structured interview with questions directly related to the management of journalistic audiovisual documents, covering the following topics: dynamics of the responsible department, archival methods used, thematic information processing applied, professionals involved, storage environment, information system used, methods for content retrieval, among others. So far, the analyses point to the following conclusion: TV Verdes Mares Cariri stands out for its detailed organization and specialized team, although it still relies on physical media. TV Padre Cícero has shown interest in modernizing its processes but lacks formal indexing systems and structured practices. TV Verde Vale presented a basic system, with limitations in organization and team specialization, but maintains minimal care with storage and backups. The survey indicates the need for improvements in all broadcasters to optimize the preservation and accessibility of their archives. Finally, the Journalistic Audiovisual Document Management Guide was developed, presenting recommended practices for organizing, preserving, and retrieving audiovisual collections. It covers everything from the archiving structure, with climate-controlled environments and hierarchical folder organization, to detailed processes for indexing and transcribing.
