INCLUSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE PRACTICES DEVELOPED IN SCHOOL LIBRARIES OF THE STATE EDUCATION NETWORK IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAURITI – CE

The school plays a crucial role in the preparatory process of the human being, leading the individual to his autonomy and coexistence in society. Having also, the school libraries, as auxiliaries in this process, offering pedagogical resources for educational construction of their learning, within a space accessible to all students with or without disabilities. Are the libraries of the state public schools of the municipality of Mauriti accessible? The research aims to verify the accessibility practices in the libraries of state schools in the municipality of Mauriti, Ceará. It is known that the development of inclusion in the school environment is a public policy, which should be stimulated, ensuring the maintenance of its continuity and progress. However, it is necessary to ascertain the progress of the development and use of the means of inclusion and accessibility in the libraries of the public schools of the state education network of the municipality of Mauriti, in accordance with the statute of the person with disabilities and NBR 9050/2020. Evaluate the practice of library accessibility standards, diagnosing the service of the current management, regarding the capacity in attendance and the use of strategic and pedagogical plans and develop a booklet to support the management of libraries, on the informational services accessible to libraries. Considering the accessibility indicators on the architectural aspects related to the school library, we have as basic and primordial: entrance, internal spaces, floors, corridors. On the other hand, the accessibility indicators, regarding the instrumental aspects, we have as basic and with greater value of importance: the counters, tables for use in work, reading and/or study and the height of the shelves. It is considered to obtain results for subsequent construction of recommendations in order to improve the space under study.
