SUMMARY:

Discuss Implicit Mediation in the Context of the Libraries of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará – IFCE in Fortaleza and the Metropolitan Region: proposal for a plan. It proposes a work plan for the development of a product intended for the IFCE Library System. The plan proposal details each step of the creation process, with the aim of answering the question: what is the procedure I must follow for this product to be created and implemented successfully? The plan is based on the assumptions of implicit information mediation and aims to be successfully applied in the creation and implementation of the product. The research has the general objective of investigating the possible applications of implicit mediation of information in IFCE, specifically in libraries in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza. The specific objectives include: a) discussion on information mediation, with a focus on implicit mediation; b) identification of the elements that make up the implicit mediation of information in SIBI - IFCE; c) understanding the relationships between the elements of implicit mediation of information in SIBI – IFCE; d) proposition of alternatives for the development of implicit mediation in SIBI - IFCE. The libraries on the campuses of Caucaia, Fortaleza, Horizonte, Maracanaú, Maranguape and Paracuru are the focus of the research and are part of the IFCE Library System, which is a system that integrates and supervises the activities of all libraries. We will carry out descriptive research with bibliographical review, documentary and qualitative research. In descriptive research, we seek to discover associations between variables: implicit mediation and thematic and descriptive representation of information. The qualitative approach does not require the use of statistical techniques, and inductive analysis of the data by the researcher is common. The literature review is an important part of the research, as it helps the researcher understand the context of the subject studied and identify gaps in the existing literature that can be filled with their research. Two techniques will be used to collect and analyze research data: document analysis and direct observation. Document analysis is a method that seeks to extract objective information from original sources, allowing the location, identification, organization and evaluation of the information contained in documents. In direct observation, it is a research technique that involves the direct observation of behaviors, situations or events without interference or influence from the researcher. We highlight the importance of combining different research techniques to obtain a more complete view of the phenomenon studied and increase the credibility and validity of research results. We emphasize the importance of information mediation, both implicit and explicit, in the context of libraries. Emphasizing that these two forms of mediation are not exclusive, but complementary. Implicit mediation, although less evident, is considered as important as explicit mediation and requires a more centralized focus of studies. We will discuss the potential to expand implicit mediation, taking into account user participation in the mediation process within library planning, whose objective is to allow the user of the Library System of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará – IFCE discover the informational universe available through reading, appropriating information, building knowledge, allowing them to act and make choices.
