The research presents the possibility of preserving, accessing and disseminating the memory of normal teachers from the 80's who worked at Escola Normal Senhor Do Bonfim in the city of Icó-CE. However, it is important to emphasize that safeguarding the memory of that time makes it possible to know the actions evolved by education that supported normal teaching at that time, by present and future generations, in view of not being included in records suitable for research in the aforementioned institution and in the bodies governing municipal education. Thus, it will be possible in this work, a visit to the past and the production of a document bringing to light, the teaching of the time, the teacher training and the voices of the teaching normalists, who were prepared and exercised the teaching profession at the time under the control of the training Christian from the Congregation of the Daughters of Santa Teresa de Jesus, located in Crato-CE. Based on the importance of building and preserving memory, oral history was used, among other forms of gathering information, so that through it there would also be a personal and subjective record of the referred normalists.
