COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BIBLIOGRAPHICAL STANDARDIZATION MANUALS IN UNIVERSITY INSTITUTIONS IN PARAIBA

It is clear that in recent years the publication and access to academic and scientific data has been considerable, this aspect means that those who have access to these data can analyze and reflect on how they are disclosed, including in this list of professional analyzes technical knowledge, particularly in the field of standardization. It is important to emphasize the existence of imprecision in organizational instruments, such as the elaboration and publication of institutional manuals, leading to reflection on how some institutions disseminate this process in the wrong way, thus inducing students and/or researchers to make mistakes. Therefore, the main starting question for choosing the proposed theme includes understanding whether the use of ABNT standards are being respected in the scientific communication manuals of institutions in João Pessoa - PB? Therefore, the dissertation in focus has as its primary objective to analyze the accuracy of the content of manuals of documentary standardization of higher education institutions in the city of João Pessoa - PB. As specific objectives, the following are indicated: to describe the context of scientific communication, specifically that of the production of documentary standardization manuals in higher education institutions; analyze the accuracy of the content of institutional manuals in relation to normative aspects, specifically those produced based on ABNT documentation standards; develop a standardization manual for scientific documents based on any mistakes contained in selected institutional manuals. Methodologically, the study is characterized as an exploratory-descriptive research of a bibliographical, documental nature, with qualitative analysis. It is hoped that the results of this study will contribute so that academics, researchers and others interested in the proposed theme can get to know the scenario of the Educational Institutions of João Pessoa - PB regarding the availability of didactic material with truthful and assertive information, according to the current norms that can help when preparing academic papers.
