SUMMARY:

Addresses violence against women in the Cariri region of Ceará. It emphasizes that the issue of violence against women is not new, however, it is necessary to discuss necessary actions to resolve this problem, which has been perpetuated throughout human history. It emphasizes that for many women in the world, staying at home means a much greater risk than being in public spaces. This space, which is sometimes treated as sacred, proves to be more violent, especially for women and children. Every day, thousands of women are attacked just because they are women – this is the growing and frightening gender violence. Faced with the need to expand the phenomenon of domestic violence against women, what is sought, in addition to stopping violence, is information as a strategy to promote changes. In this way, the objective of the aforementioned project is to analyze the communication and information network in the fight against violence against women in the region of Cariri. The methodology used was bibliographical, descriptive, explanatory and exploratory research, based on scientific databases. Through it, it can be analyzed that the region of Cariri makes use of several tools in the protection of raped women but that it lacks more effective actions to resolve this problem in the region, its second statistical data is a region that has a high rate of violence against women. Thus, it is reiterated that this region is in line with national guidelines, but which are still insufficient for the region
