Library Science; Telejournalism; Audiovisual document; TV archive.
This research mainly aimed to propose an organizational structure that makes the tasks performed by Library Science professionals be better used in local telejournalism, recognizing this professional as a techno-actor of journalistic writing - a concept created by Canavilhas et al (2014) to name the non-journalists who collaborate in the elaboration of journalistic products. Among the research objectives are the analysis of the concepts of information, journalistic information, audiovisual document, and TV archive. Another specific objective is the analysis of the acts performed by librarians to guarantee the storage, preservation and retrieval of information contained in the audiovisual documents of a TV station. This is exploratory-descriptive research with data collection carried out through bibliographic review, document analysis and observation. From the analyzed object, it was described and analyzed the contribution given by Library Science professionals to local telejournalism and how this collaboration can be intensified. Among the expected results, there is the possibility of expanding the contribution of librarians in the work of the television news through participation in agenda meetings and presence in the newsroom.
