RESUMO:

It discusses the conceptual foundations of memory, information and symbolic representation and their relationships from the conception of museological artifacts, for purposes of information retrieval, access and memory preservation. The issue to be answered in this research has the following questions: What is the process used to register, represent and retrieve information related to artifacts in the Museu Civico Religioso Padre Cícero? Do managers understand this process as an instrument for recording, retrieving and accessing information, as well as preserving social memory? How can digital technologies help the registration, retrieval, access, consequently, in the preservation of representative information of the artifacts belonging to the Museum? The research has the general objective of this work is to investigate the process of recording and representation of information related to the artifacts that make up the collection of the Museu Civico Religioso Padre Cícero, as instruments of retrieval and access to information and preservation of memory. And, as specific objectives: to debate the conceptual foundations involving the themes of museum, memory, information representation and their relationships; discuss about the representation of information related to artifacts, considering the expressions of social memory; Identify how the process of recording, representation and retrieval of information takes place in this space, as well as its contribution to guaranteeing memory preservation, retrieval and access to information and; propose the preparation of a catalog of artifacts belonging to the Museum's collection. Made available in digital format, using the QR code tool, to promote wide access and dissemination of information based on the physics contained in the Museum. The approach that highlights this study is of an exploratory nature, with bibliographic and qualitative design. The collection of data bulletins computerized bulletins is the form of observation, in order to capture the data reported for the production of the catalog. The partial discussion, in view of the ongoing research aspect, leads us to a reflection on the convergences between information, memory and museum and the preservation of the preservation of museum collections through the recording and representation of information using information technologies and communication and active methodology resources (QR code), as well as the importance of safeguarding this collection to safeguard the memory of the history of Padre Cícero, founder of the city of Juazeiro do Norte, who influences movements to the present day. Cultural, religious, conditioning the economic development and tourist potential of the city.
