THE MULTIPLE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BIBLIOTECONOMY AND PEDAGOGY IN CARIRI: A PROPOSED POLICY FOR ACTION

It deals with the sets of relationships between the Library and Pedagogy courses within the scope of Cariri Cearense. Thus, the central question that underlies the investigation is found in the following question: what are the possible relationships that can be established between the Library Science courses at the Federal University of Cariri - UFCA and Pedagogy at the Regional University of Cariri- URCA, aiming at building an institutional product between the two areas? The general objective is focused on investigating the areas of Library Science and Pedagogy, conceiving their possible relationships, aiming at building a cooperation policy that enhances the dialogue and actions between the referred courses, in the scope of undergraduate and graduate courses. The specific objectives are based on discussing the possible relationships between librarianship and pedagogy, based on conceptual, curricular and public policy issues; to identify the possible objects in common between both areas, from a curricular perspective and finally to propose an integrated cooperation policy. The theoretical body of the research discusses relational perspectives between Librarianship and Pedagogy based on conceptual aspects and curricular issues, in addition to addressing relations within the scope of public policies. The research has as object the undergraduate courses in characterized as a case study, bibliographic, descriptive with a qualitative approach. The procedures for data collection include the application of a questionnaire and documentary research. For data interpretation, content analysis based on categories, such as teaching, research, extension, management, events, professional practices and institutional policies, is adopted. Therefore, it is expected to build a product that contemplates in more detail the categories mentioned, with the purpose of integrating the courses of Library Science at UFCA and Pedagogy of URCA, in the scope of undergraduate and graduate courses.
