effective practice that guarantees the strengthening of reading practices. Its general objective:
to build a practical guide to promote reading from channels available on YouTube about
encouraging reading. And as specific objectives: to analyze the audiovisual as a resource to
encourage reading; analyze YouTube programs for reading; map existing channels for reading;
to know the reality of municipal public schools in Juazeiro do Norte with regard to projects
aimed at encouraging reading using audiovisual. The methodology is characterized as
exploratory research, regarding the ends. As for the means, a qualitative bibliographic research
is considered, in which the inductive method was used and the structured questionnaire is used
for data collection. It is expected to contribute to encouraging reading in schools in the
municipal public school of Juazeiro do Norte and, based on the proposed informational
product, the aim is to strengthen practices and readers and that the Guide can directly assist
both librarians and teachers in that network education.
