RESUMO:

Even in the 21st century, women fight for their rights to have a voice and a voice throughout
Brazil. And in the midst of such access to information, there are still women who are “hidden”
in the history of the formation of large societies. Therefore, the work aims to understand the
memory of women who influence gender discussions in their areas, focusing on the region of
Cariri Cearense, marked by the presence of male figures in the construction of its history. For
this, narratives of life history of these women were reconstructed by conducting non-directive
interviews with each of them and identified how the feminist movement in the region happens
from the collected memories.
