Scientific Production. Research Groups. Scientific Collaboration. Coordination Networks. Social Networks Analysis.
Scientific collaboration is the subject of this study and has the general objective of identifying the scientific production and social relations of researchers of Research Groups of the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), certified by the DGP, from 2014 to 2018. It intends to, specifically, analyze articles published and scientific journals in the area of Communication; map the researchers' co-authoring networks and institutional collaboration; verify the capillarity in the scientific communications in international journals and prepare a Manual of Publication for the main scientific journals of the area of Communication. As research methodology we will utilize Bibliometric Analysis and Social Networks Analysis (SNA). Therefore, the research is classified as an exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach. In addition, we will calculate the indicators of density, centrality, intermediation and proximity with the purpose of analyzing the network structure of each of the research groups under study. With the purpose of complementing the information of the social networks of co-authorization of the researchers, we will make use of the following attributes: area of academic formation, line of research and degrees held.
