It deals with the relations between mediation of reading and mediation in the context of the library
from the following question: What are the perspectives of
mediation of the reading and mediation of the information for the formation of the subjects readers in the
scope of the school libraries linked to the public education network of the state of Ceará
in Juazeiro do Norte The general objective is to investigate the performance of the school
Juazeiro do Norte state public education system in order to propose strategies
libraries and the specific objectives are to a) Address
perspectives of school libraries, considering the reality of the subjects
of information; b) Analyze the multiple roles of school libraries in schools
state of Juazeiro do Norte; c) Identify and propose action strategies for the
libraries in the field of mediation of reading and information. In this way,
It seeks to promote a discussion more focused on its potentialities and
applicability of the concept of mediation to reading practices in the school library,
in order to propose a systematic strategy for these units
information. It is an exploratory, descriptive, qualitative and
quantitative, using the procedures of bibliographic review combined with the
content analysis, which allows for categorizations, which will make it possible to
better understanding of the data. The data collection was performed through a questionnaire
structured, applied to the readapted teachers crowded in these libraries and
observations of the author during visits to the researched environments. It was concluded that
necessary to rethink the school library's
structural aspect, both in relation to spatial
development of the collection and training of teachers
more systematized form, so that the participation of the school library in the
school is more meaningful.
