RESUMO: The research deals with the organization and representation of the history of remnants of pilgrims who settled in the Chapada do Araripe sent by Father Cícero Romão Batista around 1904 and formed a community. Its general objective is to contribute to the valorization of the memory and identity of the Minguiriba rural community based on the collection of oral and visual records produced by the community and as specific objectives it is proposed to investigate the practices of oral representation focusing on the religious festivals held on the site Minguiriba; to identify the memorialistic repertoire around the religious festivals, present in the daily practices of the rural community of the Minguiriba Site, based on oral, written and visual reports of the living testimonies of the group; to register the identity aspects and to document the memory and religious practices of the community of Mingu, as the final product of the research. The problem of the study raises as a central question the following question: What is the repertoire of knowledge and knowledge mobilized within the rural universe of the site Minguiriba - Araripe National Forest - Crato - CE - Brazil, regarding the manifestations present in the traditions of religious festivals ? The search is descriptive. The media is bibliographical and documentary. As a final result we developed, under the Methodology of Oral History, an audiovisual work with images and oral testimonies of the residents of this community about religious festivals.
