RESUMO:

It addresses the social media use as a management strategy, aimed at marketing actions in the information units as a way to promote their products and services because they have become a bidirectional communication channel where the user can interact with the organization and receive feedback and vice versa. Overall objective of this study is to establish a training program for the information unit team that allows the social media use as a tool for digital marketing. For this, this research is characterized as being a field study that has as its universe of research the Academic Libraries (AL) of the federal universities as a way to identify to the existence of guidelines that support the training actions and orientations on the use of the social media as input into their marketing actions. It is observed the use of informational policies to help the use of media as a tool as a marketing strategy as well as the definition of training programs that address this theme. Because these programs can provide the internal user of the AL with knowledge that will assist in the use of the media and consequently in the measurement of results related to the performance of AL in the digital world. In this way the information unit can approach its target public and provide informational support, and provide products and services that can meet the informational demand of its community. Finally, a proposal for a training program for internal users will be presented as a way to promote the effective use of social media
