Accessibility strategies for people with disabilities in the school libraries of the state education network in the city of Juazeiro do Norte-CE

It focuses on public policies and strategies aimed at the accessibility of people with
deficiencies within the school context, taking as presuppositions the current legislation that
rights of this public. Therefore, the present research has as object of study
the libraries of the schools of the state public school of the city of Juazeiro do Norte,
EC. In this way, the methodological procedures used characterize the research as
exploratory, with a qualitative approach, having as a research
the collection of data the semi structured interview application, both in the above mentioned Schools,
as well as to the members of the nineteenth Regional Coordination of
Education Development (19th CREDE), with the aim of comparing
The Secretariat of Education establishes the reality observed in schools, so that
understand and how accessibility policies are applied in the context of
school libraries, and, from these data, build strategies to provide people with
with disabilities access to the spaces and collection of these libraries. Therefore, this study
contribute to the discussions of accessibility policies, as well as reflect the relevance of the
the theme in question, considering that this work may contribute to the literature of the
area in the implementation of public policies directed to this public.
